WWE Money In The Back 2013

Since the creation of Money In The Bank back in 2010 (The PPV Not The Match Itself) it has constantly been one of the better WWE shows of the year mainly due to the level of workers they put into the two ladder matches. This year while being a good show was the weakest of the Money In The Bank shows. Something about it lacked something the others had that made them great shows.

Pre-Show The Shield defeated The Usos: This was the best pre-show match WWE had done since they began doing them last year. The Shield retained the belts after Reigns hit the spear on Jimmy Uso. Even though they seem to be taking the Usos more serious now I still can’t dig them .Sure they are good workers but they have the stigma of jobber on them that its going to take more than a month of an apparent push to make them seem important enough to go against the Shield. But Id rather The Usos than The Two Fat Fucks.

1: Smackdown Money In The Bank: Damien Sandow won the Smackdown match which was a huge shock. With who WWE had in this match I figured it was a shoe in for Ambrose to win the match as he has been the only guy who has been positioned as a star in the last 6 months unlike the rest of the people in this match. Sandow spent the match laid out while Ambrose was the standout here in my mind. The Usos and Shield brawled outside with Cesaro, Swagger, Barrett and Fandango. Ambrose did a bump off a ladder which had been pushed by Rhodes and dove onto the brawling wrestlers. Rhodes went to win the briefcase but Sandow came to life and shoved his “friend” off of the ladder to claim the case.

Maddox came out as the new RAW GM. He went on about giving Vickie a role on the pre-show. He showed a video package featuring all of Vickies humilating moments which must of made Vince and Hunter hard and Stephanie wet. He then tried to get the crowd to chant “Thank You Vickie” which no one did while a few chanted You’ve Been Fired instead. This really should of been on RAW on Monday and not a PPV that people paid money for.

(2) Curtis Axel defeated The Miz: They had an average match. Axel is just ok in the ring and The Miz is still as awful as ever. No one cared at all for this and why would they care. Miz acted like Heyman hit him and sold being knocked out so Heyman was escorted to the back. Axel hit a neckbreaker into a Face plant to retain the title.

(3) AJ defeated Kaitlyn: Last month they had one of the better Womens matches in recent years and well this month we got something worse. The match essentially was AJ working over Kaitlyn’s shoulder. Kaitlyn hit a spear but he shoulder didn’t allow her to get the pin. AJ applied the black widow and held it in until Kaitlyn submitted. Worst match of the night.

(4) Ryback defeated Chris Jericho: This was ok. Ryback won with a roll up which was weak. Jericho is a guy who will put guys over and not bitch about it. So why wouldn’t they let Ryback use his finisher to beat Jericho. Well at one point Jericho hit the codebreaker on Ryback who was on the ring apron which led to a countout tease.

(5) Alberto Del Rio defeated Dolph Ziggler: This was great until the obvious DQ finish. When AJ said on RAW she would be in Dolphs corner on Monday I knew right then and there shes gonna fuck over Ziggler at the PPV. Sure enough AJ fucked over Ziggler. Dolph had Del Rios superkick reversed and then AJ hit Del Rio with the belt leading to the DQ finish. What a shitty manager/girlfriend AJ is. I guess this is to officially break off Ziggler and AJ going forward.

(6) John Cena defeated Mark Henry: Considering who was in this match is was ok. Henry dominated Cena with his power moves. Cena tried to hit the AA but he couldn’t. Cena finally hit an AA but Henry kicked out. Cena then had the “The Fuck Do I Do Now” look after Henry kicked out the AA. Henry hit the WSS but Cena kicked out. Cena went for the STF but Henry got the ropes. Henry went for a second WSS but Cena reversed it into the STF to get the win. WWE did a good job of keeping Henry strong in this match and not just having Cena kill him easily.

(6) Raw Money In The Bank Won By Randy Orton: WHY IN THE HELL DID RANDY ORTON WIN THIS MATCH. Im sorry but Randy Orton does not need the briefcase I mean hes a 9 time world champion and this is some serious Bullshit by WWE. RVD made his return here for his first WWE match since the 2009 Royal Rumble. Orton pretty much won cos he was the last man standing. Bryan went for the case but Axel came out and attacked him for whatever reason. Punk then went for the case but Heyman attacked him which breaks them up going into the Brock feud for Summerslam. Still the Orton win pisses me off as it may lead to another run of matches with Cena which no one needs to see again.

RAW July 8th 2013:

RAW opened with Vickie coming out to the ring. They had a ladder near the ring cos Money In The Bank is this Sunday. She said the ladder represented her climb up the WWE from what I recall she hasn’t really made a climb. They bought her in for the Eddie/Rey feud in 2005. After Eddie died she was just kinda around until they put her with Edge and she became the Smackdown GM and since then shes either just managed wrestlers who loose or been the GM. When she got to the top of the ladder she said she did everything for the People. Lawler then said fans will decide her fate with a poll on the App. How nice is it that this womans fate will be decided by a poll on a smartphone app.

Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus: This was a really good match. Aside from the 18 second match at Mania 28 these two always have good matches when given time. Bryan got the win with the rollup cos we can’t have him submitting everyone I guess. Sheamus didn’t act like a dick and he shook hands with Bryan.

Backstage the TNA cameraman was looking for the Wyatt Family who are finally here but weren’t found.

AJ and Langston were in a hallway making fun of Kaitlyn when Dolph walked in. AJ hugged him and said she missed him. I guess they don’t hang out when they aren’t on RAW together. Dolph asked why she didn’t come to the ring with him anymore and AJ said she would at Money In The Bank. I Smell a Ziggler loss because of AJ.

WWE Tag Title Match will be on the Pre-Show. So much for that Uso Push again.

The Shield vs The Two Fat Fucks: Speaking of the Tag Titles here are our fighting champions. Thankfully they beat the two fat fucks.

The TNA camerman was still looking for the Wyatt Family and he did when Luke Harper told the camera guy to follow him.

John Cena came out to have his final face off with Henry. Henry came out all serious saying for 17 years hes been starving and that hes serious. Our WWE champion then made a snickers joke. You see why people fucking hate Cena he just jokes like none of these heels are threats to him. Cena cut the bullshit as the promo went on and they did the whole Henry needs to win or he has no legacy thing even though he has won the World Heavyweight Championship. Cena struggled to hit the AA when things got physical. I guess they are playing it up Henry is too big for him to lift even though ive see him lift Big Show and Edge at once. Also Mark Henry is so great these days.

Orton said he would cash in Money In The Bank after winning it on Sunday.

Curtis Axel vs Chris Jericho: Jericho won with the Codebreaker. I don’t see why beating Axel to Jericho makes sense unless they are doing Axel/Jericho for Summerslam. But I guess Jericho needed a win before the Ryback match. Oh Miz did commentary for this.

All the Smackdown Money In The Bank geeks were backstage. Barrett knocked out FANDANGO.

BRAY WYATT HAS BEEN FOUND AND IS HERE.

Del Rio vs Sin Cara: But before we get to the Wyatt family we have to watch this. Sin Cara has his lights back and it makes no sense why. Dolph came out to do a mock Del Rio introduction so Del Rio and him brawled.

Vickie and Maddox were in the ring. The McMahons came out. Vickie kissed all their asses as she went over her accomplishments as GM which included bringing Rock and Undertaker back to RAW. Steph got pissed because she blamed Vickie for bringing back Brock Lesnar. Vince said she was entertaining and Brock coming back was a good idea. Hunter just said she was doing a terrible job. He then blamed the crowd booing her good enough reason to fire her. Vince said she should be the permanent GM, Hunter said she should be fired so it was all up to Steph. Steph acted like a bitch and relied on the WWE Poll to decide her fate. 75% of the fans voted fail so Vickie was fired just like that. Vickie cried as Steph fired her. Something tells me Vickie will still be on RAW. The McMahons left as Vickie was begging for her job back. Vince asked the fans if they were happy they broke Vickies heart and then said all the fans failed and not Vickie. They announced Maddox as the GM oh goody.

Vince consoled Vickie for her loss and said he would make everything right again.

Kane vs Christian: Kane won with the chokeslam. What a return for Christian. But after the match they showed Bray Wyatt on the video screen on a rocking chair.

Following that video The Wyatt Family was finally here. The lights went out and Wyatt carried a lantern to the ring with him. The lights went back on and the two other guys attacked Kane. Wyatt got out of his rocking chair and looked over a prone Kane. The fans chanted Husky Harris at him.

Vickie was packing her things when The Ryback gave her a hug for whatever reason.

Divas had a match yeah thats all.

Randy Orton vs CM Punk: Randy Orton lost again my god thats like 2 losses in a row for him now. Bryan came in after the match and beat them both up. He got the ladder and held up the briefcase to end the show.

WWE Raw July 1st 2013: The Crowd That Didn’t Care

Well this show was as bland as you could get. After some really good RAWs in the last few week this show just seemed really flat and dull. The crowd not really caring didn’t help either.

Vickie came out to kick the show off and announced a Cena/Del Rio match for later tonight so yeah we have that to look forward to.

Daniel Bryan then came out with a ladder. He went on about being the weak link and whatnot. He said the new question was if he could win the WWE Title. This bought out Sheamus who bought up the 18 Second match from WrestleMania 28 and then called Bryan a troll cos Sheamus is a dick. Orton came out and said hes starving for the WWE title. Kane came out and well no one cared. Christian came out and said he was the king of the ladder match. Punk was out last and said hes the best cos hes won two Money in the bank matches. Bryan said if Punk called himself the best again hed make him tap faster then he did to Orton last week. Orton stepped up to Bryan but Kane got between them. Orton then gave the RKO to Kane and they all had a brawl.

The Shield vs The Usos and Christian: Ambrose pinned Christian with help from Rollins. This basically just set up the next programs for the Shield even more.

Kane and Bryan argued backstage. Bryan made a Orton/Kane match with him as ref. How exactly did he do this.

Dolph Ziggler vs Jinder Mahal: Quick match with Ziggler winning with the zig zag. 3MB tried to beat down Ziggler but he escaped.

Vickie complained to Maddox about the McMahons screwing around with her every week. Hunter came in and said she was doing a great job.

Kane vs Randy Orton: So they did two finishes for this. Orton punched Kane in the corner until Bryan forced Orton to stop and then Orton pushed Bryan which led to Bryan calling a DQ win for Kane. Kane didn’t want to win that way so Bryan restarted the match. This one ended with Orton going for the RKO but Bryan was in the way and Kane hit the big boot to get the pin. Kane was still unhappy about Bryan interfearing and went to chokeslam Bryan but didn’t. So Orton gave Bryan the RKO.

Punk told Heyman that he doesn’t trust Axel but he does trust Paul. Heyman tired the whole well if you trust me the than you should trust him too thing. Punk also said he would beat the Prime Time Players on his own.

Sheamus vs FANDANGO: So Fandango making his return after his concussion. They had a pretty good match until FANDANGO walked out and lost via count-out.

Chris Jericho came out for commentary and wished everyone Happy Canada Day. Good thing to say when your in the US.

The Miz vs The Ryback. THE MIZ BEAT THE RYBACK. Well Ryback played up a sore knee that they sold as the reason for his loss. They put over how this makes Ryback vulnerable. Jericho hit the codebreaker on Ryback.

Mark Henry came out and said no one will deny him at Money In The Bank he then called the fans puppets.

Vince then met with Vickie and Maddox. Vince was pissed about Bryan still. He was then pissed about Cena vs Del Rio being done on RAW and not PPV. You know they did 3 Cena vs Del Rio matches on PPV in 2011.

CM Punk & Curtis Axel vs The Prime Time Player. I just realized Punk and Axel used to be in the New Nexus together in 2011. Anyway on to the match. Punk didn’t trust Axel so the Players took advantage of the match. Punk hit the GTS on Young but Titus run in after Punk who side stepped him. Axel hit a tag and got the pin.

Kaitlyn vs Alicia Fox: Kaitlyn won with the spear. AJ and Langston came out after the match and they mocked Kaitlyn again. They showed unflattering photos of Kaitlyn from her moddeling days but they made her FAT.

Stephanie came in for her go at Vickie. She went on about how an example should be made out of AJ. Vickie complained about the McMahons hounding her. Stephanie then said Vickie would face a Performance Review next week. Oh Great another performance review with members of the McMahon family haven’t seen that in the last year.

Sandow said he and Cody would remain best friends even though they are both in Money In The Bank. Zeb and Cesaro then came out with the returning Jack Swagger.

Cody Rhodes vs Antonio Cesaro: Cesaro won with the neutralizer. Sandow was sad that Cody lost.

They did some shit with the Diva Show on E!. Honestly if you want a good show on E! just go watch one of the Kardashian shows plus the Kardashians are hotter than the divas anyway.

The WYATT FAMILY IS COMING NEXT WEEK WHOOOO

Alberto Del Rio vs John Cena: This was a fun back and forth match with both men hitting both their finishers. Cena hit the AA after Ziggler appeared getting the win. Henry grabbed the WWE title and put it on Johns feet. Cena went to pick it up but Henry attacked him.

A very boring show this week. I guess we have the Wyatt family coming next week so we have that to look forward to as well as yet another Performance Review oh the joy.

WWE Raw June 24th 2013: A Dull Follow Up

After how great last weeks RAW was this weeks show felt very band and just never got going. Despite how great they built Mark Henry up a week ago and the beginning of a Brock Lesnar vs CM Punk program all the follow up felt very weak as opposed to the original angles.

RAW kicked off with Daniel Bryan coming out to do a promo. He said he wouldn’t accept his victory over Randy Orton from Smackdown. He said he wasn’t the weak link and said he would prove he wasn’t tonight. He chanted YES!. Randy came out and told him to Shut Up and fight.

Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton: They brawled like they hated each other and it was really short. The refs tried to pull them apart after the match was stopped.

Maddox and Vickie were backstage when Bryan walked in. He demanded a rematch with Orton in any match type. Maddox denied this and Bryan told Vickie to do it or he wants Maddox. Vickie agreed and made Orton vs Bryan again for later. After Bryan left Vince showed up. He put down Bryan for his size.

Sheamus & Christian vs The Rhode Scholars: So after Sheamus killed these two on his on a week ago and lost after a cheap pin by Sandow he needs a tag partner. Once again Sheamus won with the god damned kick. They announced Sandow vs Sheamus for Smackdown in a Dublin Street Fight.

Vickie ran into Punk backstage who was listening to music on his iPhone with his Beats by Dre headphones those were some subtle product placements. He asked her if Heyman had showed up yet. Vickie said Punk would wrestle later tonight but he wasn’t listening. He said if Heyman or Brock show up to tell him.

Kaitlyn vs Aksana: AJ came out during the match in a body suit mocking Kaitlyn. Aksana got a roll up and Kaitlyn kicked out at 2. AJ should not interrupt in peoples matches cos it never goes her way. Anyway Kaitlyn hit the spear for the win. AJ then did a promo as Kaitlyn which led to Langston coming out and a recreation of the Admirer angle from 2 weeks ago. Kaitlyn tried to go attack AJ but Layla held her back.

Chris Jericho vs Alberto Del Rio: Jericho got the win via DQ after Ricardo hit Jericho with a bucket while he had Del Rio in the Walls Of Jericho. After the match Dolph came out and attacked Del Rio with the Zig-Zag. Jericho and Dolph then had a stare down.

In our 2nd McMahon segment of the night Hunter then met with Vickie and Maddox. Vickie was about to cancel the Orton/Bryan match but Hunter told her not to because the WWE Universe wanted to see this match. Hunter made Vickie give the Universe the option to chose the stipulation.

Maddox and Vickie came out to the ring along with Lawler to unveil the WWE 2K14 Cover. I saw this cover 3 months ago. Vickie announced that Orton/Bryan would be either a Lumberjack Match, A Street Fight or Falls Count Anywhere. Vickie revealed her cover of the game which featured HHH, Vince and Stephanie. Maddox showed off his which had Cena, Punk and Himself. Lawler then showed the official cover with The Rock. They also released the trailer for the game and I 90% sure it was just WWE 13 which some created wrestlers.

Ryback then killed Khali with the Shellshock

John Cena came out to respond to Mark Henry. He said Henry had no legacy in WWE if he didn’t hold the WWE Title. He said Henrys window was closing

The Usos vs 3MB vs Two Fat Fucks: The Usos won a #1 contenders match. A Charity auction winner came out with The Two Fat Fucks. Shied came out and faced off with the Usos.

Heyman came out to the ring saying he ignored Punk all week so he could talk to him in the middle of the ring. Punk came out and went through his history in the WWE going back to 2005. This was very boring considering both Heyman and Punk were present. They went on about their personal history and why Punk was a Heyman guy. Heyman said Brocks contract expired after Extreme Rules (Not Really) and that he had no idea he would be at RAW last week. It just went on way too long and no one cared.

CM Punk quickly disposed of Darren Young. After the match PTP then doubled teamed Punk which led to Curtis Axel coming out to make the save.

Vickie and Maddox this time were yelled at by Stephanie because they had not announced the competitors for the Money In The Bank match for the WWE Title. Steph said she would do it.

They showed the Bellas giving out copies of WWE Magazine to fans.

Kane, Orton, Bryan, Sheamus, Christian, RVD and Punk will be in the Money In The Bank ladder match for the WWE title. My pick is Bryan.

Maddox said he worked on the list with Stephanie and Vickie looked pissed about it. Ryback came in and demanded a rematch with Cena well why didn’t he do it last week. Jericho said he deserved to be in the ladder match. So they made Ryback vs Jericho for the PPV.

Heyman explained why Axel helped Punk. He said Axel and Punk would face off against The PTP next week.

Mark Henry came out and bragged about his performance from last week. He said Hollywood directors have been calling him but Henry doesn’t want Hollywood he wants the WWE title.

Randy Orton vs Daniel Bryan II: They had a nice street fight and the crowd actually cared about it. Bryan won after applying the YES Lock on Orton by using a kendo stick. Bryan hit a powerbomb on Orton through a table at one point. This was the big win Bryan was meant to get a week ago before the injury thing happened.

Overall: A very boring show this week. They did a poor job following up on Lesnar/Punk. Mark Henry was great again. I Have no idea where this McMahon thing is going but Im really bored of them all trying to out do each other.

WWE Payback June 16th 2013

WWE held its 5 PPV of the year from the All-State Arena in Chicago Illinois. The show was built around not only return of CM Punk who had been absent since WrestleMania XXIX but the return of the 3 Stages Of Hell Match between John Cena and Ryback for the WWE Championship. Once again WWE changed a match result in fear of the show becoming predictable with Alberto Del Rio winning back the World Heavyweight Championship from Dolph Ziggler in a math that resembled the famed “Double Turn” seen during the WrestleMania 13 match between Bret Hart and Steve Austin in the same building back in 1997.

Pre-Show: Sheamus defeated Damien Sandow: They had a good little 10 minute match with Sheamus winning with the Brouge Kick. Pretty predictable start here but honestly did anyone think Sandow would get a upset win over Sheamus.

(1) Curtis Axel defeated Wade Barrett and The Miz: Curtis Axel won a good triple threat with lots of near falls and saves after pinning Barrett before he tapped to the Figure Four leg lock from Miz. Axel was the only choice to win here as Miz is just a guy in the midcard now and Barrett needed the belt off of him so they can actually try and push him up the card. Axel is a newer act who in the last month has been positioned weird in the fact hes been in matches with Cena and HHH but not gotten clean wins. They played it up big about him winning the title on fathers day seeing that he is the son of Curt Hennig who was IC Champion back in 1990. After the match Axel and Heyman ran into HHH and they had a face off. Vince then came in and more or less made HHH/Axel 6 I think were up to now but Hunter still wont wrestle him.

(2) AJ Lee defeated Kaitlyn: AJ won the divas title after a solid match for the WWE divas. It was quick but you don’t need the divas to wrestle for 10 minutes. This wasn’t as good as the Knockouts Match from the TNA PPV earlier this month but still better than most WWE Diva matches. Kaitlyn went for the spear but stalled and mocked AJ but blowing her a kiss. AJ kicked out the spear and hit the Black Widow or Inoki Octopuss submission. They played it up that Kaitlyn was having a nervous breakdwon or something after the match with her crying in the ring. Backstage all the babyface women consoled her.

(3) Dean Ambrose Count Win over Kane: This was just a match. Ambrose hit the Headlock DDT after Kane cleared the spanish announce table. The crowd booed the count out finish which in Chicago WWE should of known better.

(4) Alberto Del Rio defeated Dolph Ziggler: Ziggler played total babyface here and they played up the concussion with Del Rio kicking him in the head getting heat. They tried to have the match stopped but Ziggler wanted to fight on. Del Rio hit the superkick to get the win even though he played “heel” throughout the match he got a pop from the fans. Thankfully WWE realized Del RIo was not a good face and they decided Ziggler should be in that spot cos he comes off as such a more likeable guy over Del Rio. Del Rio then did an interview saying he gives 100% for the fans and all that jazz as they booed him pretty heavily.

(5) CM Punk defeated Chris Jericho: This was so awesome. At the moment this is the best match WWE has done all year just edging out the Taker/Punk match from Mania. These guys stole the show. Punk played total babyface here with Jericho playing heel. Punk won after hitting 2 GTS. Go see this match.

(6) The Shield defeated Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan: These guys got screwed over when it comes to time. They had a good match considering the time they had but it wasn’t as good as their TV matches. They didn’t do much in the sense of Bryan/Orton the only spot being Bryan hitting a tope on Orton after Reigns shoved Rollins out the way. Reigns speared Bryan which lead to an RKO from Orton that led to the Curb Stomp from Rollins to Bryan for the pin. Yes they pinned the man who is meant to face Cena for the title next month and not Orton who is still just a guy. Anyway Orton gave Bryan the RKO after the match,

(7) John Cena defeated Ryback: 3 falls so lets get going

Fall 1: Ryback won the lumberjack match with the Shellshock. Cena dove out onto the lumberjacks at one point and it was a nice spot.

Fall 2: Cena won the tables match after Ryback went for the Shellshock with Cena reversing it into the Attitude Adjustment.

Fall 3: Cena won after hitting the Attitude Adjustment on top of the ambulance with Ryback going through the roof thus ending the mach.

This wasn’t to the callibar of the Austin/HHH 3 Stages of Hell from 2001 or the HHH/HBK one from 2002 but was better than the mess Orton and HHH in 2009. It was a fine Main Event and did it’s job ending the Cena/Ryback angle.

Overall: A really good show with a lot of good wrestling. Jericho and Punk is the stand out match on this show by far. The rest was ok to good.

WWE RAW May 20th 2013: A New Heyman Guy

THE RYBACK came and talked about the match from the PPV. He said Cena REFUSED to leave in an Ambulance, wow what a trooper he is. Ryback proposed an Ambulance Match at WWE Payback cos yeah we need to suffer through yet another awful Cena Ambulance Match. (See Cena vs Kane Elimination Chamber 2012)

The Reunion of ChrisMiz: The Greatest 3 Week Tag Team of all time got back together to take on their foes. Barrett has a new theme and hes going through them like a dog goes through a bone at this point. Barrett lost cos you know its a shock at this point right. FANDANGO said his name during this and just walked out cos I guess hes to good for this and Jericho pinned Barrett. I remember when the IC champion won matches and rarely lost on RAW.

After the match Miz and Jericho cornered FANDANGO who was dancing in the corner so he ran off. Jericho took the female dancers hand and dipped her for some reason. Jericho then gave her the hand and left.

Vickie came out and announced Swagger vs TBD for later. But this was one of them lame votes for the app. This week its Truth, Khali and Orton. Boy I wonder who will win this battle.

Bryan was backstage and still pissed he lost the tag titles and Kane was trying to console him. They argued and Kofi the ever happening man break it up.

Sheamus vs Titus O’Neil: This was made because Titus was critical of Sheamus on the PPV on Sunday. Titus O’Neil got the advantage after Darren Young got involved but even after that Sheamus still won after hitting white noise.

The New Paul Heyman Guy: Heyman came out and bragged about Brocks victory on the PPV. He then debuted Curt Axel who is his new client. Curt Axel is the former Michael McGuillicutty or Joe Hennig son of Curt Hennig. Axel came out to a modified version of the Mr Perfect music nice wink wink to people. Heyman put over the pedigree and origin of the Curt Axel name. He wondered why this man had no been a main eventer and I can answer this. HE WAS NEVER PUT ON RAW. HHH came out and spoke but Axel cut him off before Hunter told him to shhh. Hunter said Brock didn’t walk away last night but he limped away. Hunter threatned Heyman but Curt got in the way and it was basically to book the main event match. THE FIRST HHH RAW MATCH SINCE 2010.

Langston vs Del Rio: Langston actually won and I was not expecting that.

AJ vs Layla: No one curt as AJ won. Layla has not been over since she came back last year.

CODY WINS: Cody Rhodes won a match even though it was against Ryder he still WON A MATCH. After the match The Ryback came out and killed Ryder with the shellshcok again. So if Ryback wins the belt does that mean hes gonna feud with Ryder.

Shield vs Kofi and Hell No: So basically a giant rematch from the PPV. They give this nearly 30 minutes which is insane on RAW. This was a great match all these guys are really solid workers even Reigns is becoming pretty good. Once again Danielson and the Shield were awesome. Hell he wrestled most of the Shield in ROH. Bryan was mocked during the match for being the weak link in the team.

The Doctor told Hunter he shouldn’t wrestle. Hunter didn’t care what the doctor thought cos hes HHH and hes that damn good.

So we got the continuation of who is stalking Kaitlyin. Cody walked past so Kaitylin stole his phone to check his messages. he hadn’t messaged Kaitlyin and she was glad so she called him Gross.

Another Orton Win: Well Once again I can’t hate this cos Swagger is on Ortons level more or less. They got 20 minutes and in parts Swagger looked like he was gonna win but Mr RKO won.

They announced Kofi vs Ambrose for the US title on Smackdown.

HHH Nearly Dies? Nah he didn’t really die but he sold it like he did. So Hunter and Hennig wrestled for awhile until Hunter started to channel his inner 1995 Shawn Michaels and acted all concussed. The match ended when Hunter passed out and the doctors came out to check on him as the show ended.

Overall: This was a good show. We got 2 long matches that were really great and we had little to no lame Variety/Comedy this week. A good follow up to a decent PPV.

Extreme Rules 2013 Recap: The Shield Rules

WWE hosted its first PPV since Wrestlemania 29 at the Scottrade Center in St Louis on May 19th 2013. The show was very good with several matches being great. The show didn’t hold up to the Extreme Rules show from 2012 with 3 classic Main Event matches. The three main stories coming out the show were The Shield walking out with the Tag Titles and US Title, The No Finish in the WWE title match between Ryback and John Cena and lastly Brock Lesnar beating HHH in the cage match.

Pre Show: The Miz def Cody Rhodes: This was short but back and forth. Miz got the win when he applied the figure four onto Rhodes.  I guess this gives Miz a win on his return but Cody is still lost in the shuffle.

1. Chris Jericho def FANDANGO: Jericho carried the match and really give it his all to make FANDANGO look good in loosing. Jericho got the win after FANDANGO came off the rope and Jericho hit the Codebreaker which was awesome to get the pin.

They had a backstage deal with Sheamus saying that tractor trailers don’t hit back

2. Dean Ambrose def Kofi Kingston: This was ok but they didn’t get enough time to have a better match. It was clear when this was announced that Kofi was loosing the belt and he did. Ambrose won by hitting his headlock DDT after Kofi tried to hit Trouble In Paradise. So our first Shield title win is in the books.

WWE refferenced Sam Muchnick and Lou Thesz throughout the night being that we are in St Louis and its always weird hearing them talk about Muchnick and Thesz cos WWE rarely acknowledges them at all.

4. Sheamus def Mark Henry: This was the return of the strap match and by my count only the 3rd strap match used in WWE. This was like all the rest of the strap matches. They dragged each other around trying to touch each of the four corners. Sheamus hit the Brouge Kick to Henry before touching the 4th corner. This was OK.

They did a deal backstage with Kaitlyin and AJ. Kaitlyin made a Looney Tunes refference and it set AJ off cos shes still sensitive to any word that alludes to her being a nutcase. They had a tussle as The Bellas and Tamina watched on. This really meant nothing at all.

5. Alberto Del Rio def Jack Swagger: This was ok. The main spot being Del Rio locked in the Patiot Act with Ricardo trying to throw in the towel with Del Rio telling him not to. Zeb threw in the towel and Swagger was announced as the winner. A second ref came out to inform the ref of what happened and we got a replay and the match restarted. Del Rio struggled to get up but after a few seconds he locked Swagger in the armbar for the win.

6. The Shield def Team Hell No: FINALLY TEAM HELL NO LOST THE BELTS. I am one of the few people who has never liked Kane and Bryan as a tag team and am so glad they lost the belts. This was a great match considering this was short. Reigns catapaulted Bryan into a double kick by Rollins. Reigns put Bryan into a torture rack and Rollins hit a kneedrop off of the top rope. Reigns got the pin to win the belts.

7 .Randy Orton def Big Show: This was very good and the first match that got any sort of time. Orton got the win which doesn’t annoy me cos I could care less if Big Show looses and Orton going forward is worth more than a 42 year old Big Show. Orton tried all of his main moves. He hit an RKO but Show kicked out, Hit The DDT off of the top rope and Show kicked out, Orton then hit an RKO onto a chair but Show kicked out. Orton then hit the punt to get the win. So the idea was that Orton couldn’t beat Show but did.

8. John Cena draw Ryback: So this was interesting. The match was very good and they did kill each other going around the arena with people going through tables and diving off of railings. But the main thing people will take away from this is both men going through the lighting setup. This reminded me of when Matt Hardy and Edge went through the electrical setup in 2005 on RAW. They played it up huge when they stretchered Cena off and the the fans were pissed chanting This Is Bullshit. I understand why the fans would be pissed cos this is a cheap finish to get out of beating either guy.

9. Brock Lesnar def HHH: This was the best of the 3 matches these two have had. Lesnar won after he hit HHH with the sledgehammer and an F-5. At one point Heyman got in the cage and HHH gave him the pedigree and then one to Brock for a nearfall. This is my choice for match of the night and they did well in protecting Brock going forward. HHH sold the finish well to make Brock seem like a killer and I don’t see what they can do with Hunter now going forward.

Overall as I said this was a good show that really got going about halfway through the show.
